General

This panel of the Customizer groups the most common settings of the site.

Site Identity

Here you can define the site basics.

  • Site Title: enter the default title of the site. It is displayed in browser tabs before the page title
  • Tagline: enter the tagline of the site. It is basically a short description of what is your site about
  • Site Icon: upload an image to be used as the favicon of the site. It is displayed in browser tabs

Homepage

Here you can set the defaults of your homepage display.

  • Your homepage displays: select what to display as the homepage of your site
  • Homepage: choose a page to display as your homepage
  • Posts page: choose a page to display as your blog page

Typography

Customize the basic typography of the site.

  • Body Font: sets the default font family and size used for body text
  • Headings: sets the default font family and sizes used for h1-h5 headings

Note: Elementor settings will overwrite these default stylings coming from the customizer.

Socials

Here you can add your social networks, as many as you like, and reorder / delete if not needed. You can display the social icons in the right side of the navbar or in the copyright footer, later we will discuss this.

Click on Add social network button, choose a network and enter the profile link.

Page Loader

In this section you can modify the page preloader animation effect.

  • Enable page loader: show or hide the page loading animation
  • Type: select the layout of the page loader

Note: the color settings of the page loader can be found at Customizer > General > Colors

404 Page

Customize the 404 error page.

  • Image: upload an image what will display above the title
  • Heading: the heading displayed of the error page, below the 404 text
  • Content: the paragraph on the error page, below the heading

Note: if you don’t upload an image, the default “404” title will show up at the top of the page.

Colors

Set the color of the elements from the General panel.

  • Primary color: set the main color of the site: links, buttons, pricing tables, icons, page loader, tags, any much more.
  • Hover color: set the hover color on the site. This will affect links, buttons, tags, etc. when hovered with the mouse
  • Body background color: set the base background color of the site
  • Body text color: set the color of the body text
  • Bold text color: set the color of the bold (strong) texts
  • Headings color: set the color of the heading titles
  • Loader background color: set the page color, when the loader is visible
  • Loader color: set the primary color of the loader animation
