To create a new blog post, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Posts » Add New
- Enter the title of the post and add contents in the editor
- Choose a Post Format from the sidebar options
- Add taxonomies like Categories or Tags and upload a Featured Image in the sidebar
- When you feel ready, hit Publish
Note: You can find the single post related settings at Customizer > Blog > Single Post.
Post Formats
FlatBook supports currently 2 kind of post formats:
Default
This is the default blog post format. If you would like to have this one, just leave everything as it is.
Gallery
Gallery blog post format represents a cool image carousel at the top of the post (instead of a featured image). To use gallery post format on one of your posts, you have to change the Post Format option to Gallery at the Status & visibility block in the sidebar.
Then, you can add / reorder / remove the images in the Gallery section of the right sidebar.
Note: If you set a featured image for a gallery formatted post, it will show up as the thumbnail of the post in the footer / sidebar widget area.
